Yes. Aging sealing rings, housing dents from impacts, deformed battery compartment covers and dirty breathable membranes all degrade protection. Maintenance points: 1. Inspect sealing rings regularly (replace if deformed/cracked); 2. Avoid drops (housing deformation breaks the seal); 3. Close the battery compartment cover fully; 4. Put the charging port dust plug back. The LIDER LD series sealing rings are replaceable, as are XINGJIA's.
