A receive sensitivity test measures the minimum signal strength at which a receiver can still receive with an acceptable bit error rate. Test method: a standard signal generator outputs from −80dBm and attenuates gradually, recording the level at which the bit error rate exceeds the limit. Industrial-grade standards usually require below −105dBm (BER<10⁻³). The LIDER LD series passes this test with margin. Users cannot test this themselves; refer to the manufacturer's published test report when selecting.
