Detailed Answer
NB-IoT (Narrowband IoT) is a cellular IoT technology that relies on carrier base station networks. It offers wide coverage, extremely low power consumption and strong penetration, making it suitable for connecting large numbers of low-speed devices. Industrial remote controls themselves do not use NB-IoT for communication (it depends on base stations and has high latency), but remote monitoring modules can use NB-IoT to report equipment status and operation logs to the cloud platform without building a private gateway. LIDER and XINGJIA offer optional 4G/NB-IoT modules to connect equipment to the cloud.
| Features | Wide coverage / low power |
| Limits | Depends on base stations / high latency |
| Application | Equipment to cloud |
Note:For companies with an equipment management platform, NB-IoT cloud access has the lowest cost.
