WiFi/Bluetooth belong to the 2.4GHz ISM band. Although license-free and mature, they are not suitable for industrial remote control scenarios: 1. Bandwidth contention (large latency jitter when many WiFi devices are present); 2. Weak penetration (2.4GHz attenuates severely through metal structures); 3. Complex security mechanisms (high connection management overhead); 4. High power consumption (bad for battery life). The dedicated 433/470MHz remote control link is designed for low latency, high reliability and low power consumption. Some XINGJIA remote monitoring models use 2.4GHz for data backhaul, but the control link still uses the dedicated band.
